Plant Prospectus — North District

33 cluster anchors · 4-component opportunity score

What this is. Every census tract that's at least 6 miles from any Rio Texas or Horizon Texas UMC was scored on a weighted opportunity formula (growth 35%, saturation gap 30%, demographic fit 20%, density 15%). Adjacent qualifying tracts are clustered, and only the cluster anchor appears here. 33 anchors in total. Scores are percentile rank (0–100) of the underlying weighted opportunity score within all qualifying tracts.

The point isn't just "where to plant." The bottom of this list is also useful: it shows tracts that passed the 6-mile filter (no UMC nearby) but score low for other reasons — declining population, demographic mismatch, very low density. "No UMC nearby" alone isn't a reason to plant.

Bottom 5 — passed the filter, but caution

These tracts are far enough from any UMC to clear Lens A's 6-mile filter, but other factors push them to the bottom of the ranking. Read the individual pages for the specific reasons.

How the score works

All four components are normalized to 0–100 by percentile rank (robust to outliers). Final score is a weighted sum.
